Northeastern Brazilian culture celebrated through food and craft events
Northeastern Brazilian culture is being celebrated through culinary and artistic initiatives in the coastal region. In Guarujá, the 1st Northeastern Fair is hosting an event featuring traditional dishes such as couscous, baião de dois, and buchada de bode, with food prices starting at R$ 30. The fair also includes a market for handmade crafts and a musical lineup featuring various styles of forró.
In São Vicente, Restaurante Itabaiana has introduced a new permanent menu item: a quebra-queixo brigadeiro. Developed in partnership with Estação Brigaderia, the dessert was selected by the public following a tasting event. The sweet combines the creamy texture of a brigadeiro with caramelized burnt coconut, aiming to honor the restaurant's regional roots and family history.
