Northeastern student flies herself 8 hours from Texas to Boston
Calli Colvin, a computer science and film production student at Northeastern University, flies herself from Texas to Boston for the start of every semester. The journey involves an eight-hour flight that she pilots personally.
Colvin holds a private pilot license and a multi-engine rating, having begun flight training at age 17. Notably, she obtained her pilot certifications before receiving her driver's license. While she has held a driver's license for approximately one year, she expressed that she feels more comfortable flying an aircraft than driving a car on the road.
