Northeastern University volleyball prepares for 2026 home tournament

The Northeastern University volleyball team is preparing for its 2026 home slate, beginning with the Northeastern Tournament at the Cabot Center from September 4 to September 6. The Huskies are scheduled to face Holy Cross, Fairfield, and Harvard during the weekend tournament.

Following an eighth-place finish in the CAA standings last season, head coach Brendan McGourn is focusing on team cohesion and collective performance rather than individual accolades. The roster features seven new players alongside experienced returners. The team will be led by senior middle blocker Beatrice Gennari, who was voted captain, and sophomore Emma Rowell, who serves as vice captain. Rowell enters the season as a preseason All-CAA selection after leading the team in kills last year.
