Northern Arizona University athletes earn Big Sky weekly honors

Northern Arizona University athletes have received weekly conference honors in soccer and football.

In soccer, freshman goalkeeper Emery Copeland was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week. Copeland recorded a career-high three saves during a 70-minute start, contributing to a 1-0 shutout victory against Grambling State.

In football, Deliyon Freeman was named the Big Sky Co-Defensive Player of the Week following Northern Arizona's 38-28 win over UIW. Freeman recorded a career-high 13 tackles, including seven solo tackles, a forced fumble, and his first career interception.
