Northern Borders Province Governor honors digital innovation hackathon winners

Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan, the Governor of the Northern Borders Province, honored the winners of the Northern Borders Province Digital Innovation Hackathon. The three-day event involved over 90 competitors who presented 35 innovative projects focused on digital solutions, data, and artificial intelligence.

The first-place prize was awarded to team ‘Miqdam’ for their project, a proactive intelligence platform for early monitoring and supporting government response to misinformation. The second-place winner, team ‘Afaq’, developed ‘Basira’, an AI platform designed to support decision-making and improve quality of life in the region. The third-place prize went to team ‘Hayy Aynak’ for a smart digital platform aimed at streamlining government services into a personalized user journey.

Winning teams received cash prizes ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 SAR. The successful solutions will undergo technical and operational evaluations to determine their readiness for testing, adoption, or incubation within institutional frameworks, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
