Northern Cyprus Water Sports Federation to host swimming referee course

The Northern Cyprus Water Sports Federation has announced a Candidate Swimming Referee Course scheduled for October 2–4, 2026. The program aims to develop qualified officials capable of meeting national and international standards to support the growth of swimming competitions.

The training will include both theoretical and practical instruction regarding refereeing principles, competition rules, and international applications. Instructors for the course will be appointed by the Turkish Swimming Federation.

To participate, applicants must be citizens of the TRNC or the Republic of Turkey, have at least a high school diploma, and be born between 1976 and 2008. Requirements also include a recent health report, two passport-sized photographs, and a clean disciplinary record. The course fee is set at 3,000 TL.
