Northern Germany weather forecast predicts wind and temperature drop

Northern Germany is expected to experience a shift in weather conditions over the weekend, characterized by increasing wind, rain, and a significant drop in temperature.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), temperatures in the north will initially reach up to 20 degrees Celsius. However, rain will move in from the northwest, bringing gusty and potentially stormy winds to coastal areas. In regions like Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, the weather may remain partly friendly on Saturday, though coastal areas should expect showers and strong winds.

As the weekend progresses, a cooling trend will take effect. Temperatures are expected to fall, with lows reaching between 4 and 12 degrees Celsius depending on the location. In Lower Saxony, residents may also encounter individual thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon or evening. By Sunday, the weather is forecast to be mostly cloudy with occasional light rain and decreasing wind speeds along the coast.
