Northern Kentucky defeats IU Indianapolis men's soccer 5-1

The IU Indianapolis men's soccer team suffered a 5-1 home defeat against Northern Kentucky on Saturday night. Northern Kentucky established an early lead, scoring three goals within the first 20 minutes through Ibrahim Piracha and Bennett Gerak. An own goal by an IU Indy defender and a subsequent goal by Michael Luechauer extended the lead before halftime.

Despite the loss, IU Indy maintained offensive pressure with a 23-13 shot advantage and 14 corner kicks. Freshman Tom Henry Berry scored the Jaguars' lone goal late in the match, marking his first collegiate goal. Head coach Keegan Boom noted that while the team created numerous chances, they struggled with efficiency in the box.
