Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center sets $1 million fundraising goal

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center has announced a goal to raise $1 million during the 2027 Champion the Cure Challenge. This target represents the largest annual goal for the event to date, following a 2026 campaign that raised over $850,000.

Since 2010, more than 29,000 community members have contributed to raising $9.5 million through the challenge. The funds are utilized to expand research and resources for cancer patients, including advancements in technology, equipment, targeted treatments, and nurse navigation services.

Scheduled events for the 2027 challenge include a walk, run, and cycle on August 21, followed by a motorcycle ride and car show on August 22.
