Northern Spain's coastal towns Cudillero and Ribadeo draw visitors

Cudillero, a steeply built fishing village on Asturias’ Cantabrian coast, offers a compact historic centre centred on the Plaza de la Marina, a series of miradores with sweeping sea views, an 1858 lighthouse at the Atalaya point, and a working port where traditional curadillo shark meat is still displayed. Nearby attractions include the 19th‑century Quinta de Selgas estate and the rugged Playa del Silencio.

Ribadeo, located at the eastern edge of Galicia where the Cantabrian Sea meets the Miño río, is promoted for its blend of maritime and river scenery, a modern nautical club, scenic beaches, natural trails, rich gastronomy and cultural heritage. The town has become a recognised destination for outdoor recreation and coastal tourism in northern Spain.
