Northern Taiwan tourism circles partner to expand regional travel markets

The North Coast and Guanyin Mountain National Scenic Area Administration held a tourism resource matchmaking event in Taipei to strengthen cross-regional cooperation among three major tourism circles: Crown Coast, Northeast Coast, and Matsu.

The initiative aims to transform Northern Taiwan’s diverse mountain, sea, and island resources into marketable products for domestic and international travelers. Key focus areas include developing multi-day themed tours, Muslim-friendly travel routes, and international cruise shore excursions connecting Keelung Port with local attractions like Yehliu and Heping Island.

To formalize this cooperation, an application has been submitted to the Ministry of the Interior to establish the ‘Taiwan North Tourism Circle Alliance Association’. The association is expected to hold its inaugural meeting in October, serving as a platform for industry exchange and the development of a unified Northern Taiwan tourism brand.
