Northumberland launches offshore wind accelerator programme

The Northumberland Offshore Wind Spin In (NOW Spin-In) accelerator programme has been launched to assist UK and international businesses in entering the offshore wind market. The initiative targets early-stage and scaling companies developing technologies in sectors such as manufacturing, artificial intelligence, robotics, digital solutions, and advanced materials.

Successful applicants will receive a support package valued at over £10,000, which includes six months of fully funded office space at the Energy Central hub in Blyth, specialist business support, and access to industry experts. The programme aims to strengthen Northumberland’s position as a clean energy cluster by leveraging the Port of Blyth’s infrastructure and the research facilities at the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.
