Northwest Nazarene men's soccer upsets No. 12 Fort Lewis

The Northwest Nazarene University men's soccer team secured a 1-0 upset victory against the No. 12-ranked Fort Lewis Skyhawks in Nampa, Idaho. The match remained a scoreless stalemate until the 82nd minute when Caleb Putney converted a penalty kick to score the winning goal.

This victory marks Northwest Nazarene's first win over a ranked opponent since November 2024. The Nighthawks improve to a 2-0-3 record, while the Skyhawks, who had been averaging over three goals per game, were unable to overcome the NNU defensive unit.

In upcoming action, the Colorado Mesa University men's soccer team is scheduled to travel to Idaho to face Northwest Nazarene for a single match of the week.
