Northwestern athletics teams enter national rankings

Northwestern Wildcats AP Top 25 Poll AVCA Division III Poll college football college volleyball

The Northwestern Wildcats football team has risen to No. 20 in the AP Top 25 Poll following Week 8. The team currently shares the No. 20 spot with SMU and Boise State. Despite a recent loss to the Indiana Hoosiers, the Wildcats are positioned to potentially climb as high as No. 15 if they secure victories in upcoming matchups against Oregon and Iowa.

In volleyball, the University of Northwestern Eagles have entered the AVCA Division III Top 25 Poll at No. 24. The team holds a 16-4 overall record and an undefeated 8-0 record in the UMAC. This ranking follows consecutive road sweeps against Minnesota Morris and Crown.
