Northwestern prepares to face Oregon following Ducks offensive changes
The No. 20 Northwestern Wildcats are set to visit the Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium this Saturday. The matchup features a significant return for Northwestern head coach Chip Kelly, who previously led Oregon from 2009 to 2012.
Oregon enters the game facing significant offensive challenges. Following the dismissal of offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer, the team has appointed Jay Johnson as the new play-caller. Additionally, head coach Dan Lanning indicated that quarterback Dante Moore is not expected to return this season due to a concussion sustained against USC.
Northwestern arrives with momentum, holding a 6-1 record and a four-game winning streak. The Wildcats rank second in the Big Ten in rushing with 204.6 yards per game and third in scoring with 34.7 points per game. Oregon's offense has struggled recently, scoring 15, 17, and 10 points in its last three contests.
