Northwestern volleyball hosts Butler to open home season

Northwestern University volleyball is set to begin its home season at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Tuesday evening against the Butler Bulldogs. The Wildcats (2-3) enter the match following five consecutive road games that included competition in Washington, D.C., and Mississippi.

Junior Mara Stiglic has led the Northwestern offense this season, recording 78 kills and averaging 3.90 kills per set. First-year setter Ellie Stiernagle has also made a significant impact, ranking 11th in program history among first-year setters with 198 assists.

The visiting Butler Bulldogs hold a 5-1 record and enter the matchup on a nine-set winning streak.
