Northwestern Wildcats return to AP Top 25 Poll

The Northwestern Wildcats have returned to the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Poll for the first time since 2020 following a dominant 45-14 victory over Ball State. The win allowed the team to finish non-conference play undefeated for the first time since 2015.

Head coach David Braun emphasized the importance of maintaining focus despite the growing national recognition. Braun noted that while the team should acknowledge their growth, they have yet to achieve their primary seasonal goals. He also highlighted a player-led culture of accountability and a desire within the locker room to improve performance even after decisive wins.

With a 4-1 record, the Wildcats are looking to build momentum through upcoming Big Ten matchups. Analysts suggest that if the team can win their next two games to reach a 6-1 record, they may see a further rise in the AP rankings.
