Northwood University ranked among top Midwest colleges

Northwood University has been recognized in the U.S. News & World Report 2027 Best Colleges rankings as one of the top private schools and regional universities in the Midwest.

The ranking follows a significant period of growth for the institution, including the 63rd Northwood University International Auto Show. Additionally, alumnus Jim Koons has committed up to $30 million to the university. This funding is designated for scholarships, university growth, and residential facilities, including a $10 million project to transform Miner and Dubois halls into a residential living and learning community. The commitment also includes $5 million toward a new academic facility intended to expand space for teaching and industry collaboration.
