Norway achieves historic sporting success in 2026

Norway has experienced an unprecedented year of sporting success in 2026, marked by dominance in major international competitions. At the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Norway topped the medal table with 41 total medals, including 18 gold, 12 silver, and 11 bronze. Cross-country skiing and biathlon were primary contributors, accounting for 25 medals. Athlete Johannes Hösflot Kläbo emerged as a standout performer, winning six gold medals and becoming the most successful winter Olympian of all time.
