Norway launches initiatives for sustainable building management

Several Norwegian entities have launched new projects and partnerships aimed at improving climate management and resource efficiency in the building and construction sectors.

Fifteen actors have officially started the ReKlima research project, supported by the Research Council of Norway. Led by Multiconsult Norge, the project focuses on developing future climate control solutions for existing buildings. The goal is to create high-quality indoor environments while reducing the use of resources, CO2, and costs by optimizing how existing structures are rehabilitated and transformed.

Additionally, the Norwegian Municipal Technical Association (NKF) has entered into an agreement with co2pilot to provide municipalities with a tool for managing greenhouse gas accounting. This cloud-based solution allows the municipal sector to track, verify, and document climate results across entire project portfolios. The tool is designed to simplify reporting and provide decision support based on updated climate and cost data.
