Norway orders 20 Patria 6x6 armored command vehicles
Norway has ordered 20 Patria 6x6 armored command and control vehicles as part of the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) program. The order includes Kongsberg Protector RS4 remote weapon stations, along with training, technical support, and spare parts. Norway has also secured an option for an additional 40 vehicles and weapon stations.
Deliveries to the Norwegian military are scheduled to begin in 2026. Officials from Patria and the Norwegian Defence Material Agency (NDMA) noted that the procurement aims to strengthen protected mobility and interoperability within the Scandinavian region and the broader CAVS community.
The CAVS program, launched in 2020, involves Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, and the United Kingdom. It seeks to enhance operational cooperation and reduce logistics requirements through shared platforms. To date, more than 2,000 vehicles have been ordered across various configurations within the program.
