Norway police log multiple drunken traffic and public‑order incidents

Police in Vestnes, Norway, filed charges against a man in his 50s for operating a boat while intoxicated, exceeding speed limits on Moldefjorden and refusing a simplified fine. In Tromsø, a 40‑year‑old man was suspected of riding an electric scooter while drunk and was arrested after a tip that he had driven into a ditch. The same police log recorded a teenage theft from a Vinmonopolet store, subsequent disturbance and assault on officers, an arrest for hindering police, a man who fell asleep in a hotel elevator, and a breach of confidentiality by a police employee who sent a dismissal notice to the wrong parties. These incidents illustrate a series of minor traffic violations and public‑order offenses handled by Norwegian authorities.
