Norway roadwork causes traffic delays and closures

Various roadwork projects across Norway are causing traffic disruptions. In Nærøysund, asphalt work on County Road 770 between Austafjord and Dalaneset may result in wait times of up to one hour, with vehicles released hourly. Other ongoing works include manual direction at Svaberget on County Road 17 and roadwork on County Road 771 in Nærøysund.

In the Oslo region, heavy rainfall has forced the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) to postpone planned asphalt work at the Fornebukrysset intersection on the E18, which is expected to reduce the severity of previously warned traffic chaos. However, night closures remain scheduled. The Granfosstunnel on Ring 3 will be closed to traffic heading toward E18 in the direction of Kristiansand and Fornebu from Friday night through Saturday morning, and again from Saturday night through Sunday morning. During these periods, E18 westbound through Fornebukrysset will also be closed, with traffic diverted to the eastbound lanes.
