Norway search and rescue operations locate missing persons

Emergency services and volunteer organizations conducted search and rescue operations for a missing hiker in Norway. In Karlsøy municipality, police initiated a search after a hiker failed to return home at an agreed time. The operation involved volunteers from the Red Cross and Norwegian Emergency Management, supported by a rescue helicopter from Tromsø and search dogs.

In a separate incident in Vinje, police and volunteers located a man near Kjerringsundet after he failed to appear at a cabin as planned. A rescue helicopter spotted the individual, and police personnel assisted him out of the terrain. The man received medical attention due to the duration of his time spent outdoors.
