Norway sees rain and cooler temps while Denmark braces for a brief heatwave

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute warned that much of the country will experience rain and temperatures just under 20 °C during the first week of August, easing the current high fire risk in the east and south. The forecast calls for intermittent sunshine on the east coast and wetter conditions on the west and northern coasts, with no strong rainstorms expected.

In Denmark, weather services predict a short‑lived heat surge from 3 to 9 August, with temperatures reaching 27‑30 °C across Jutland, Funen and eastern regions. The warm air will be accompanied by unstable conditions and possible strong thunderstorms, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, before cooler summer weather returns later in the week.
