Social media misinformation is circulating false claims regarding a wind farm in Norway's Fosen district, alleging that the Norwegian Supreme Court ordered the removal of turbines because they cause physical malformations in reindeer.

The actual legal dispute stems from a 2021 Supreme Court ruling which found that the operating licenses for the 151 turbines managed by Roan Vind were invalid. However, the court's decision was based solely on the fact that the project violated the cultural rights of the Sámi people, not due to animal health concerns.

The false narrative is linked to broader conspiracy theories suggesting that wind turbines cause health issues in humans and animals through infrasound and low-frequency noise.
