Norway women's football team defeats Romania 6-0 to advance in World Cup qualifiers

Norway's women's national football team secured a decisive 6-0 victory over Romania at Ullevaal Stadion, effectively ending Romania's hopes for 2027 World Cup qualification. Following a 2-0 win in the first leg in Bucharest, Norway dominated the return match with goals from Synne Jensen, Elisabeth Terland, Marthine Ostenstad, and Julie Blakstad.

Elisabeth Terland, starting in place of Ada Hegerberg, scored a hat-trick to lead the performance. The victory advances Norway to the next round of the playoffs, where they will face either Wales or Albania to determine who qualifies for the tournament in Brazil.

Romania, coached by Massimo Pedrazzini, failed to recover from the aggregate deficit. Despite a strong showing in the Nations League that earned them promotion to League B, the team could not overcome the Norwegian side in this critical qualifying stage.
