Norway's World Cup squad led by Erling Haaland arrives in the United States

Norway qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1998, and head coach Stale Solbakken praised striker Erling Haaland as an "easy‑going superstar" who puts the team first. The team, described by the coach as a dark‑horse contender, will compete in Group I against France, Senegal and Iraq.

The squad landed in Greensboro, North Carolina, and set up a base before a friendly with Morocco. To keep players on familiar nutrition, two Norwegian chefs flew over roughly 300 kg of fish and 116 kg of brown cheese, insisting on genuine Norwegian ingredients. Fans in Norway celebrated the qualification, with tens of thousands turning out in freezing weather to greet the team.
