Norwegian Air Shuttle flight forced to land in Vienna after cockpit windshield cracks

On Monday a Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737‑800 operating flight DY1922 from Oslo to Dubrovnik experienced a crack in the cockpit window during the flight. Pilots, in coordination with air‑traffic control, decided to land at Vienna International Airport as a precaution. The aircraft, roughly 12 years old, touched down safely in the Austrian capital.

Passengers were transferred to an alternate aircraft and scheduled to continue to Dubrovnik later that afternoon. This incident follows a recent window failure on another low‑cost carrier, highlighting ongoing concerns about aircraft glass integrity.

No injuries were reported, and the airline confirmed the safety of the rerouted flight.
