Norwegian athletes Kajsa Vickhoff Lie and Elea Jørstad Bock face injury setbacks ahead of major championships

Alpine skier Kajsa Vickhoff Lie (28) continues to battle knee problems after two operations this year. The former World Championship bronze medallist says the rehabilitation has not progressed as expected and she is unsure whether she can compete at the upcoming Alpine World Championships in Switzerland scheduled for February.

Hurdler Elea Jørstad Bock (22) has been sidelined by nerve‑related hip pain just weeks before the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham (10‑16 August). After cutting back hurdling training and only recently returning to barriers, she still managed a silver medal at the Norwegian nationals, while coach Petar Vukicevic praised her perseverance.

Both athletes hope to recover sufficiently to represent Norway at their respective international events.
