Norwegian authorities evaluate road safety measures

In Nittedal, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) is considering the installation of a signalized pedestrian crossing on County Road 4 near Svartkruttveien. Following requests from Nittedal municipality, officials are investigating a proposal to relocate the bus stop and crossing point further north to meet safety requirements. The evaluation must address potential traffic congestion and the risk of pedestrians crossing against red lights.

Separately, authorities have issued warnings regarding dangerous traffic conditions at the Rv. 22 Hafslund-Dondern construction site near Iseveien. Statens vegvesen and Isachsen Anlegg AS reported instances of pedestrians crossing through or along the construction area in unsecured locations. Drivers are urged to adhere to the 30 km/h speed limit due to the proximity of heavy machinery and roadside workers. The expansion project, which aims to increase the road from two to four lanes, is scheduled for completion in December 2027.
