Norwegian Bank and Revolut update savings account interest rates

Norwegian Bank has updated its savings account rates, increasing its standard account to 2.2% TAE while maintaining the Plus account at 2.51% TAE. The Plus account offers higher returns but limits free withdrawals to six per year, with a 0.5% commission applied to subsequent transfers. Deposits are protected by the Swedish Deposit Guarantee Fund up to €100,000 per client.

Separately, Revolut is ending its promotional 3.51% TAE interest rate offer for new sign-ups on August 16, 2026. This rate applies to the first €25,000 of balance across all plans without requiring direct deposit or minimum balances. While the promotional rate is guaranteed until October 16, 2026, for those who enroll by the deadline, subsequent returns will revert to plan-specific rates ranging between 1.25% and 2.27% TAE.
