Norwegian couple decries ant‑infested rental cabin in Telemark
Sylvia Blomberg Møller and her husband travelled from Nittedal to the Treungen area in Telemark to attend the Treungen Festival. They booked a cabin at Saga Camping and Hytter, but upon arrival found the interior covered with dead and live ants, dirty surfaces and a strong odor. The couple said they could not use the kitchen facilities and slept on a mattress they brought themselves. Camp owner Arve Aarak replied that the cabin had previously been treated for wood‑ants and was declared clean, but admitted that cleaning had not been completed before the guests arrived. The incident was reported in local media, highlighting concerns over hygiene standards in holiday rentals.
