Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit faces health scrutiny as exposé book links her to Jeffrey Epstein
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, 52, continues to battle a chronic lung disease. After a lung transplant earlier in 2026, public debate has focused on how the press reports her health, with a recent poll showing mixed opinions on media sensitivity.
At the same time, a forthcoming book titled "Epstein's Norwegian Network – and the Lies it Concealed" is slated for release on 13 October 2026. Journalists Tore Gjerstad and Gard Oterholm claim the book will reveal the late Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement in the princess’s life, citing her 2013 stay at Epstein’s Palm Beach home and a terminated contact in 2014. Mette-Marit has previously told Norway’s NRK she saw nothing illegal and was unsettled by the encounter. The book is expected to generate political and media attention in Norway.
