Norwegian Cruise Line announces Whitney Houston show for new ship

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the entertainment lineup for its upcoming ship, Norwegian Aura, scheduled to debut in May 2027. A centerpiece of the programming is ‘Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston’, a 45-minute immersive production developed in collaboration with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music.

The show will be staged in the ship’s three-story Aura Theatre & Club, featuring live vocals, a band, and contemporary arrangements of hits such as ‘I Will Always Love You’ and ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)’. Other scheduled attractions include ‘ILLUMINOX: Infinite Wonder Unboxed’, an illusion and acrobatics show, and ‘The Vinyl Republic’.

Norwegian Aura will be based in Miami starting in 2027. Its inaugural season includes a Mediterranean transit from Trieste to Barcelona, followed by seven-day itineraries through the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with stops in locations such as Puerto Plata, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Honduras, and Mexico.
