Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Posts Strong Q2 2026 Earnings and Announces $100 Million Cost‑Saving Plan

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. reported second‑quarter 2026 revenue of $2.6 billion, up 4.9% year‑over‑year. Adjusted EBITDA reached $666 million, beating guidance by $34 million, and adjusted earnings per share were $0.48, $0.10 above the company’s own outlook. GAAP net income was $223 million with EPS of $0.48. The company said a global sourcing strategy and technology‑vendor consolidation, together with salary and benefit reductions, will generate an additional $100 million of annualized run‑rate savings, mainly from capital‑expenditure and SG&A cuts. Full‑year 2026 adjusted EPS is now projected at approximately $1.50, though the full‑year net‑yield outlook was lowered. CEO John W. Chidsey highlighted the turnaround plan focused on marketing, revenue management, cost controls and fleet optimization, while CFO Mark A. Kempa noted the cost‑saving initiatives. Following the earnings release, the stock fell about 9.8% to $18.72 as the company cut its full‑year earnings guidance. Analysts at Wells Fargo subsequently reduced their price target to $22.00 from $25.00.
