Norwegian Cruise Line expands 2028 bookings and unveils Aura features

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced several major updates to its fleet and booking schedule. The company has opened bookings for its 2028 season, featuring over 450 voyages across 20 ships visiting nearly 150 destinations in 51 countries. Highlights for 2028 include the Norwegian Jewel’s debut in Morocco and new calls to Croatia and Sardinia by the Norwegian Dawn.

Additionally, NCL revealed new wellness and dining features for the Norwegian Aura, its largest ship to date. The vessel will introduce Tamara, the company’s first specialty Indian restaurant, and The Panorama Room, an immersive dining experience. The ship will also feature an expansive Thermal Suite with 15 wellness experiences, including a Sensory Rain Pool with simulated thunderstorm effects.

In the luxury sector, Viking reported strong financial performance, noting that 53% of its 2027 capacity is already booked. The company’s 2026 season is nearly sold out, with current capacity at 96%, driven by high demand and a strong base of repeat customers.
