Norwegian Aura to debut as Norwegian Cruise Line's largest ship in 2027

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced details for its upcoming largest vessel, the Norwegian Aura, scheduled to debut in May 2027. The ship will feature significant expansions in wellness, dining, and family entertainment.

A central feature is the two-deck Mandara Spa, which includes a Thermal Suite with 15 amenities and a unique “Sensory Rain Pool” designed to simulate tropical rainfall and thunderstorms using light and sound. Other wellness offerings include a Snow Cave, salt rooms, and various saunas.

Dining enhancements include the introduction of “Tamara,” the company’s first specialty Indian restaurant, and the “Panorama Room,” a main dining venue utilizing LED displays and synchronized lighting. The ship will offer 22 food and beverage options across more than 10 cuisines.

In a broader fleet update, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is undergoing a period of transition. While five ships are expected to depart the fleet—including the Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun, which are slated for charter to Cordelia Cruises—the company plans to add 17 new vessels over the next decade.
