Norwegian Customs seizes counterfeit national football jerseys

Norwegian Customs has seized and destroyed counterfeit Norway national football team jerseys and shorts purchased via the Chinese e-commerce platform DHGate. An anonymous buyer reported that the items, intended for his family, were intercepted and destroyed after being identified as fakes.

The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) noted that counterfeit products remain a continuous challenge for the organization and its retail partners. While Customs could not provide specific statistics on the volume of fake football jerseys seized, they confirmed that various types of counterfeit football apparel have been intercepted and destroyed over the last six months. Authorities also noted a general increase in the seizure of counterfeit goods in recent years.
