Norwegian football faces structural calls and ticket fraud warnings

Frode Thomassen, the managing director of Bodø/Glimt, has called for improvements within Norwegian football. Despite what he describes as a golden age for the sport in Norway, Thomassen suggests that clubs and the national structure must sharpen their focus. He specifically questioned current academy models and emphasized the need for more specialization in top-tier football, noting that Bodø/Glimt has transitioned from a club focused on player development for sale to one focused on competitive performance.

Separately, the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) has issued a warning regarding fraudulent ticket websites. Commercial Director Runar Pahr Andresen alerted supporters to fake sites that mimic official NFF pages, particularly ahead of upcoming Nations League matches involving the national team. The NFF noted that scammers are using AI tools to create convincing fake websites and counterfeit digital tickets. Supporters are urged to verify web addresses carefully and use the official ticketing app to ensure security.
