Norwegian TV productions face potential strike threat

The Norwegian television production industry faces potential strikes as the mediation deadline between the Norwegian Film Association (Norsk filmforbund) and Virke expires at midnight. If an agreement is not reached, several major productions could be impacted, including ‘Skal vi danse’, ‘Farmen kjendis’, ‘71 grader nord kjendis’, ‘Fra bølle til bestevenn’, and ‘Kokkeskolen’.

The potential strike would involve production managers, assistants, scriptwriters, editors, and sound technicians. Elisabeth O. Sjaastand, leader of the Film Association, stated that their demands are necessary to retain valuable expertise and talent within the industry.

Amidst these labor tensions, TV 2 has announced the participants for the upcoming 21st season of ‘Skal vi danse’, which is scheduled to premiere on September 26. The new lineup includes a mix of profiles from sports, social media, and the stage.
