Norwich City’s bid for Hoffenheim’s Jykese Fields rejected

Norwich City have approached German club TSG Hoffenheim about signing 19‑year‑old striker Jykese Fields. Hoffenheim, who have the player under contract until 2030, said they have no intention of allowing him to leave.

Fields, who has yet to make a senior appearance, is regarded by Hoffenheim as a top talent for the future. Norwich manager Philippe Clement is keen to add depth to the squad, while clubs from Belgium and Danish side FC Copenhagen have also shown interest. A permanent transfer appears unlikely, leaving only the possibility of a loan arrangement.

The Canaries, who finished the previous season strongly in the Championship, hope the move would bolster their attack as they aim for promotion this campaign.
