Nossa Senhora Aparecida celebrations held in Londrina and Itaipulândia
Religious celebrations honoring Nossa Senhora Aparecida, the patron saint of Brazil, are taking place across various regions, including Londrina and Itaipulândia.
In Londrina, a traditional procession known as the 'Carreata da Padroeira' is scheduled for October 11. The event includes a mass at the Santa Rita de Cássia Parish, followed by a vehicle procession through the city streets. The activities conclude with a blessing of vehicles at the Santuário de Nossa Senhora Aparecida.
In Itaipulândia, the Santuário de Nossa Senhora Aparecida expects to host over 100,000 devotees during a ten-day novena. The festivities, which run from October 3 to October 11, attract pilgrims from Paraná, Paraguay, and Argentina. The program includes a National Youth Day on October 11 and a series of masses on October 12, culminating in a solemn mass presided over by Bishop Dom Sergio de Deus Borges. To support pilgrims walking to the site, a dedicated mobile application has been provided to offer maps, safety guidance, and event schedules.
