NOT A HOTEL launches prefab houses in Japan as Mallorca finca is restored

In Japan, the brand NOT A HOTEL has launched POD, a new line of customizable prefabricated houses through its subsidiary, NOT A HOUSE. Designed to offer refined architecture and smart home features without the delays of traditional custom builds, the POD models range from studios to three-bedroom homes. The initial rollout will focus on Tokyo and the neighboring prefectures of Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama.

In Mallorca, the 19th-century estate Son Verí has undergone a detailed restoration by Vestige Estudio. Located near the village where George Sand and Chopin once lived, the renovated finca preserves historical elements such as marès stone vaults and an old oil mill beam. The design integrates traditional Balearic materials like terracotta and linen with custom-made pieces to respect the property's agricultural heritage.
