Notability integrates calendar events with audio recording and notes

Notability has launched a new desktop workflow for Mac and Windows users that integrates calendar events with note-taking and recording capabilities. This update allows users to initiate recordings directly from a scheduled calendar event, automatically creating a unified document that combines the audio recording, a transcription, and any handwritten or typed notes taken during the session.

Unlike many competing meeting recording solutions, Notability’s new feature captures system audio directly from the computer rather than requiring a bot to join the call. The tool is designed to serve both students and professionals by streamlining the process of organizing lectures and meetings within a user's existing schedule.

Additional upcoming features include a syllabus import tool to structure academic terms. The new functionality is available to Plus and Pro subscribers, with a free tier offered for new users to test the features.
