Nothing Phone 3 introduces Glyph‑Matrix LED as Google teases Pixel Glow notification light

Nothing has launched the Nothing Phone 3 with a new Glyph‑Matrix back‑panel that houses 489 micro‑LEDs. The feature replaces a single notification LED and can display alerts, timers, volume levels and even simple games on the rear of the phone. The device ships with a 6.67‑inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, a 50‑megapixel camera system and is priced at €499, down from the earlier €645 offer. Nothing also promises five Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 series will re‑introduce a rear‑panel notification LED, dubbed “Pixel Glow,” in a teaser video. The LED is advertised as an RGB‑capable light that can indicate activity from apps such as Maps, Gmail and Calendar. While the company highlights the visual feature, critics note that improvements in battery life or processor performance may be more impactful.
