Nothing launches budget Phone 4b as new Series B smartphone

Nothing announced a new budget‑focused smartphone as part of a new Series B line, tentatively called the Nothing Phone (4b). Cofounder Akis Evangelidis explained on X that the B series expands on the successful A series and will sit below the flagship models while keeping a clear product hierarchy. The company cancelled the planned CMF budget handset, citing soaring memory prices, and is shifting the entry‑level offering to the main Nothing brand.

The phone is slated for an official unveiling on 7 July 2026 at 12:00 UTC, streamed live. Rumoured specifications include a 6.3‑inch 120 Hz AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a single 50 MP rear sensor (Sony LYT‑710 with OIS), a 32 MP front camera, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 or MediaTek Dimensity 7450 Pro processor, a 5000 mAh battery with 50 W fast charging, and four years of Android updates plus six years of security patches. Pricing is expected to be between €280 and €430, cheaper than the Nothing Phone 4a but higher than the discontinued CMF model.
