Notini's Italian Restaurant in Shreveport Closes After 45 Years

Notini's Italian Restaurant, a longtime staple of the Shreveport‑Bossier area, announced it will close its 2013 Airline Drive location on September 25, ending 45 years of operation. The eatery was founded in June 1981 by brothers Jerry and Ronnie Kolniak with their father Stanley, honoring Jerry’s grandfather Antonio Notini, an Italian immigrant who arrived in 1909.

Ownership transferred to Tim Huck and Grayson Bailey in November 2019, who said the closure was “with heavy hearts and deep gratitude.” The owners invited the community to visit for a final meal before the September 25 shutdown, marking the end of a local institution that hosted countless family celebrations and everyday gatherings.

The restaurant’s menu, celebrated for scratch‑made Italian recipes, will no longer be served after the closure, concluding a four‑decade legacy in the region.
