Noto Peninsula launches tourism campaign and student study tours

Efforts to promote tourism and educational engagement in the Noto Peninsula are expanding through new regional campaigns and student-led initiatives.

The Noto Peninsula Wide-area Tourism Association will launch ‘Noto Kids Adventure’ on September 19, 2026. Running through March 2027, the campaign uses mission guides and digital stamp rallies to encourage families to explore the region's nature and culture. Centered around the renovated Noto Satoyama Airport, the program aims to drive visitation and support regional recovery following recent disasters.

In a separate educational initiative, students from the alternative school HILLOCK have organized a study tour to the Noto Peninsula. Unlike traditional school trips, the students independently selected the destination, planned the itinerary, and negotiated with local contacts. The tour focuses on experiencing the realities of disaster recovery firsthand, moving beyond textbook learning to engage with the living community in the region.
