Noto to host fifth Metropolitan Pilgrimage of Families

The Metropolitan area of Syracuse, including the Archdioceses of Syracuse and the Dioceses of Ragusa and Noto, will hold its fifth annual Pilgrimage of Families in Noto on Sunday, October 25. The event begins at 9:30 AM at the Noto municipal villa, with a procession leading to the Cathedral Basilica.

The theme for this year is “The family is a gift and a task: what hope for Society and the Church,” inspired by remarks made by Pope Leo XIV regarding the responsibility of nurturing familial bonds for the common good.

The Eucharistic celebration will be presided over by Bishop Salvatore Romeo of Noto, with concluding remarks by Bishop Giuseppe La Placa of Ragusa. Archbishop Francesco Lomanto of Syracuse described the event as an opportunity to rediscover the vocation of the family as a vital contribution to building a better society.
